Tyler Look of Luxe - close-ups

I like this version of Tyler, she's very girly, light and young in this dark chocolate fringe hair style (her hair are quite thin), lapis lazuli eyes and dark red lips.

Tyler Look of Luxe [LE2000/2001]

Today I want to share pics od Tyler Look of Luxe, doll which was issued almost a decade ago, in 2001, LE 2000. Why such 'oldie'?
I am addicted to the dolls from older collections - I love their outfits, entourage, stylization, stories and overall look. I miss those times when almost all the dolls from Tyler Wentworth collections were stunning and unforgettable. I have an impression that this line which made TonnerDoll famous and worldwide known along with Regina and Voss collections are neglected and little bit forgotten by TonnerDoll. It's a shame because it was Tyler, Sydney and other girls which made me and lots of other people Tonner doll collectors. All this movie stuff and licensing is OK, but I just love fashion dolls :)

"The appearance of this ensemble on the runway marked one of those pivotal moments that left everyone buzzing at Tyler's 2001 fashion show, Her coat, a sublime mixture of new and daring material combinations over a two-piece cashmere dream, caught the eye of the Tres Chic and Fashion Design Weekly writers and was immediately coined "the look of luxe"; the new standard by which others would emulate. With matching hat and pumps, the ensemble's perfect lines in mocha, cream and burnished gold accents give the look that other combinations can only imitate."

Daphne Black and White Ball - close-up photos

Daphne Black and White Ball [LE1500/2004]

"Invited to the Beaux Arts Ball, Daphne and Brenda have their gowns designed by Brenda’s friend, couturier Christian. Brenda is set to dazzle in black, while white is the color chosen for Daphne. As Brenda jets to Australia after a lead, Daphne “borrows” Brenda’s gown and steals the spotlight in strapless black velvet with silver scrollwork embroidery and clear sequins. Her gauntlet style “half-sleeves” are equally lush with embroidery. Daphne completes her ensemble with dazzling “diamonds” given to her by a Princely admirer."

I am a huge fan of entire Brenda Starr Collection, I love this classy wardrobe of 40's and one of my fav doll sculpts ever - Daphne Dimples.
Daphne Black and White Ball sports beautiful black velvet mermaid gown with silver embroidery with quite interesting long sleeves attached to the bodice.

beautifully embroided back of the gown; the embroidery is inspired by architectonical ornamentation - scrollworks:

Celebration - close-ups

Celebration has hazel eyes, black curly sexy  hair, but what I love about her the most - is her aquiline nose, which makes her very classy and elegant.  Enjoy :)
